LeBron James calls for stricter gun laws after deadly shooting at University of Nevada
Basketball superstar LeBron James has called for stricter US gun laws following the deadly shooting on the campus of the University of Nevada.
James, who has been campaigning for stricter laws for years, described it as “ridiculous that we haven’t changed anything”. He said that the shooting was “stupid” and that his sympathies were with “the families who have lost loved ones”.
Three people were killed in a shooting at the university on Wednesday. The final games of the NBA’s In-Season Tournaments are currently being played in Nevada, with the Lakers and James facing New Orleans in the semi-finals.
